l     On The Throne of Israel About 20 Years
l     Distinguished Man of God, Composer of Psalms, Valiant Warrior, Leader
l     Everything Was Going Well
l     David Didn’t Fall Suddenly

l     At the time when kings go forth to battle-Spring
l     Besieged Rabbah-Capitol Walled City of Ammon
l     David tarried still at Jerusalem-David Was in Bed, Not in Battle
l     Temptations Come Not When Working Hard, But When At Leisure
l     Eveningtide-Late Afternoon After A Nap in the Heat of the Day
l     Walked upon the roof-Patio Next to His Bedroom
l     He saw-Unfortunate, But Not Sinful
l     When David Paused & Took that Longer Second Look-Sin Conceived (Matt 26:41, James 1:14, Job 31:1)
l     The Devil does Not Tip His Hand in Temptation
l     Very beautiful-No Exaggeration in Scripture
l     Washing herself-Reason Unclear; Monthly Period or Adultery (Lev 15:18)
l     Does Any Fault Lie With Bathsheba?
l     She Was Careless, Lacking in Modesty & Knew She Could Be Seen
l     She Was Innocent, Didn’t Know She Could Be Seen
l     Both Were At Fault, But David Was the Aggressor
l     David sent and enquired after the woman- A Step in the Wrong Direction
l     In Times of Temptation, There is One Command-Flee (1 Cor 6:18, 10:14, 1 Tim 6:11, 2 Tim 2:22, James 4:7)
l     Wife of Uriah the Hittite-A Subtle Warning of Wisdom
l     The Committing
l     And David sent messengers-Pursuing is Deeper Into Sin (Matt 5:28, Lev 20:10)
l     And took her-No Evidence of Force
l     She came in unto him-Cooperated
l     He lay with her-The Act of Adultery
l     And the woman conceived…and told David-It’s Your Move (Num 32:23)
l     The Devil’s Tactics Never Change (Gen 3:6)
l     Three Steps: Saw, Desired, Took
l     Sinful Human Nature Never Changes
l     The Covering
l     When We Are in the Midst of Panic, We Don’t Make Wise Decisions
l     David Sent to Joab-Suspicion Aroused
l     David demanded of him how Joab did-But He Really Didn’t Care
l     Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet-So Prompt, Still Soiled With Travel
l     A mess of meat from the king-Large Portion to Promote Gladness
l     Uriah went not down unto his house-The Plan Was Not Working
l     The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents-Solidarity
l     He made him drunk-More Desperate Plan to Impair Reasoning
