Galatians Wk20

Stand in Love & Spirituality                          Gal 5:13-18
n     Basis for Love
n     Liberty Without Love
n     ye have been called unto liberty-The Result of Salvation
n     only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh-Liberty is Not a License to be Lawless
n     Flesh- Our Old Sin Nature Which All Redeemed Sinners Still Have
n     Occasion-Means a Starting Point
n     Using Liberty for Selfish Pursuits is Lust Not Love
n     Liberty to Love
n     but by love serve one another-Be a Slave to Others
n     Service Without Love Becomes a Punishment
n     Service Through Love Becomes a Blessing
n     Options of Love
n     Presence of Love
n     For the Law to be Fulfilled, There Must be the Principle of Love at Work (Rom 13:10)
n     Absence of Love
n     ye bite and devour one another-Christian Cannibals
n     The Nature of Spirituality
n     The Definition
n     Walk-Keep on Walking or Pursuing
n     In Contrast to Running, Walking is Slower
n     In Contrast to Sitting, Walking Needs Initiative and Purpose
n     Walking Spiritually Should be as Natural as Walking Physically
n     A Believer Should be Known by his Walk:
n     Worthy in Humility (Eph 4:1)
n     Distinctive from the Unsaved (Eph 4:17)
n     In Sacrificial Love (Eph 5:2)
n     As a Child of Light (Eph 5:8)
n     Circumspectly (Eph 5:15)
n     in the Spirit-By Means of the Holy Spirit’s Power
n     Christians Can Only Function Spiritually When Yielded to the Holy Spirit
n     What Characteristics Mark This Walk?
n     First, We Will not Grieve the Holy Spirit (Eph 4:30)
n     Second, We Will not Quench the Holy Spirit (1 Thes 5:19)
n     Third, We Will Fill Ourselves With the Spirit (Eph 5:18)
n     The Results of the Walk
n     ye shall not fulfil-An Absolute Guarantee Conditioned on an Obedient Walk
n     the lust of the flesh-All the Evil Desires that Come From a Fallen Human Nature
n     The Conflict of Spirituality
n     The Christian Has Two Natures
n     Adam At Creation was Perfect
n     Adam Sinned and His Nature Changed to Sinful
n     Everyone Born After Adam Has This Nature
n     At Conversion, the Divine Nature Indwells the Believer
n     The Believer Has Two Natures; Sin (flesh) & Divine (Spirit)
n     Believers Will Have These Two Natures Till Death
n     The Christian Has Two Desires
n      these are contrary the one to the other-Opposite and Exclusive
n     lusteth against (epithumei)-An Intense Desire
n     When the Flesh Lusts it Produces Ungodly Thoughts and Deeds
n     When the Spirit Lusts it Desires Complete Surrender to God
n     The Christian is Perplexed
n     so that-In Order That or The End Result is
n     ye cannot do the things that ye would-The Contrast is Between Willing and Doing
n     The Solution
n     led of the Spirit-Yielded to His Direction
n     ye are not under the law-Spirituality Does Not Come from Conforming to a Set of Laws
