Hello, we are the Helm family. We would like to share with you our hearts desire to plant a church in Central Florida.
Along with our sending church Bible Baptist of Bradenton FL, we plan on planting an Independent Bible Believing Baptist church.
Our heart has always been for people, there is no greater joy then seeing souls saved.
God laid it on my heart since the time I was in high school to be in full time ministry. Upon graduation of high school
I attended Practical Bible College where I met my wife Elizabeth, (now of almost 12 years). I graduated in 2001, with a
bachelors of Bible and Pastoral studies. God has allowed us to serve in various ministries, both Pastoral and lay.
However it has always been our hearts desire to serve God in full time ministry! With our 2 sons Samson and Caleb we
will be taking those steps in fulfilling what God has laid on our hearts, and where He has opened the door!
When we first came to Florida 4 years ago, we did not know what God
would have in store for our family. We prayed diligently that He would
direct us to a good fundamental church. After a few weeks of searching,
He did. We found our home at Bible Baptist Church of Bradenton FL. There
we have had the opportunity of serving in various ministries, Nursery,
Masters Club, College and Career, children's church, Deacon, etc. We
love serving God with His people!!! After much prayer I met with our
Pastor, Dr. Mark Campbell, and shared my hearts desire to serve in full
time ministry. It was then that he shared with me his burden of starting
a church in central Florida around the greater Orlando area. After some
time and much prayer, Liz and I felt led to take the step of planting
this church in central Florida. There has been a great deal of searching
to find an area that would be just right; a place full of souls needing Christ. That is when God lead us to
Winter Garden FL.
